Part 1: Documents Required for CAP Round (e-Scrutiny / Online Verification)
These documents must be ready before and during the CAP Round process, including e-Scrutiny and online form filling.
Basic Academic Documents (Everyone Needs These)
1. Passport Size Photographs — Keep at least 6–8 copies handy.
2. 10th / SSC Marksheet — Used to verify your date of birth and basic academic records. If you studied under CBSE, ICSE, or any board other than Maharashtra State Board, you also need a Conversion Certificate.
3. 12th / HSC Marksheet — Required for basic eligibility verification. CBSE/ICSE/Other Board students need a Conversion Certificate for 12th as well.
4. 12th Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate (LC/TC) — A critical document. Your place of birth mentioned here matters for Domicile and Nationality verification.
5. Graduation Degree Certificate / Provisional Certificate — Since MCA is a postgraduate programme, proof of your completed graduation degree is mandatory. If your final degree certificate hasn't been issued yet, carry the Provisional Certificate issued by your university.
6. All Graduation Marksheets — Carry marksheets for all semesters or years of your graduation (e.g., FY, SY, TY or Sem 1 through Sem 6). A consolidated marksheet is accepted if issued by your university.
7. Graduation Leaving / Transfer Certificate — The Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate issued by your graduation college/university. Required for university migration purposes and may be needed during e-Scrutiny.
8. MCA CET Marksheet — Your official MAH MCA CET 2026 scorecard. This is the primary basis for CAP Round seat allotment.
Domicile & Nationality Documents
9. Domicile Certificate — Required for Maharashtra candidates to claim Maharashtra state candidature. Carry the original.
Exception: If you were born in Maharashtra AND your place of birth is mentioned in your LC/TC or Birth Certificate, a separate Domicile Certificate may not be required.
10. Indian Nationality Certificate — Required if your Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate does NOT mention your place of birth, or if you do not have a Birth Certificate or Indian Passport. Any ONE of the following is accepted:
- Leaving Certificate (with birthplace in India mentioned)
- Birth Certificate
- Indian Passport
- Indian Nationality Certificate
11. Performa-O — Required for Minority candidates (religious or linguistic minorities). This is a self-declaration form available in the State CET Cell's Information Brochure.
Reservation & Category-Based Documents
12. Income Certificate for TFWS Candidates — The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) reserves 5% of seats in each college for economically weaker students. Your family's annual income must be below ₹8 lakh. Obtain the Income Certificate from Maha e-Seva Kendra (Aaple Sarkar portal).
13. EWS Certificate or Receipt — For candidates claiming Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation. The receipt is accepted if the certificate is being processed.
14. Caste Certificate — For candidates belonging to any reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, VJ, NT, etc.). Mandatory — a receipt is NOT accepted as a substitute.
15. Caste Validity Certificate or Receipt — Required along with your Caste Certificate to validate the caste claim. The receipt is accepted if the certificate is pending.
16. Caste Non-Creamy Layer Certificate or Receipt — Required for OBC and other non-SC/ST caste categories. SC/ST candidates do not need this.
Summary for Caste Reservation:
- SC / ST candidates: Caste Certificate + Caste Validity Certificate
- OBC / VJ / NT and other categories: Caste Certificate + Caste Validity Certificate + Non-Creamy Layer Certificate

Part 2: Documents Required at Final Admission (at the College)
These documents are not needed during the CAP Round form filling or e-Scrutiny, but are essential when you visit the college for final admission after seat allotment.
1. e-Scrutiny Acknowledgement and Receipt — Generated during the online document verification (e-Scrutiny) process. Carry both the acknowledgement and the payment receipt.
2. Seat Allotment Letter / Confirmation Letter — Download and print the official allotment/confirmation letter after your seat is allotted through the CAP Round.
3. Community Certificate — For Minority candidates (religious or linguistic). This is the official certificate proving your community status, submitted along with Performa-O at the time of admission.
4. GAP Certificate — Required if there is a gap year between your graduation and the current admission year. This is an affidavit prepared with the help of an advocate (typically takes 2–3 hours).
5. Migration Certificate — Required for students from universities outside Maharashtra, and may also be required by certain colleges at the time of final admission.
6. Physical Fitness Certificate — Some colleges require this. The format is provided by the college itself — collect it from the college after seat allotment.
7. Aadhar Card / ID Proof / Proof of Residence — Carry your Aadhar Card or any valid government-issued ID along with proof of residence.
8. Demand Draft for Fees — You will need to pay the college fees via Demand Draft (DD) at the time of admission. Contact the college after seat allotment to get the exact amount and DD details.
