Answer: Option B — Arunachal Pradesh
Detailed Solution
Boori-Boot Yullo (also called Boori Boot) is a festival of the Nyishi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. It is celebrated every year in February, mainly in the Lower Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, Papum Pare and East Kameng districts, the areas where the Nyishis live.
"Boori Boot" is the name of a spirit or deity, and "Yullo" means festival. The festival is celebrated to welcome the spring season and to pray for prosperity, good health and a good harvest. It is believed that the spirit Boori Boot blesses the people with prosperity and protects them from disease and misfortune. The festival also brings people together, regardless of caste, creed or religion, and promotes unity in the community. The word "boori" also means "coming together", which reflects this spirit. The celebrations include prayers and rituals performed by the priests (nyubh), offerings and sacrifices, traditional songs and dances, colourful processions in traditional costumes, cultural programmes and feasting.
The Nyishis are one of the largest tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. The men traditionally wear a headgear called "podum", decorated with the beak of the hornbill, although the use of real hornbill beaks is now discouraged and replaced with artificial ones to protect the bird. The Nyishis follow the Donyi-Polo faith, the worship of the Sun and the Moon. Their most important festival is Nyokum, celebrated in February, to pray to the goddess Nyokum and other deities for a good harvest and prosperity.
Arunachal Pradesh has more than 25 major tribes, each with its own festivals, such as Losar (Monpas), Solung (Adis), Mopin (Galos), Dree (Apatanis), Tamladu (Digaru Mishmis) and Chalo Loku (Noctes).

- ✗Assam is known for Bihu and the festivals of tribes such as the Mishings and Karbis.
- ✗Nagaland is known for the Hornbill Festival and Naga tribal festivals.
- ✗Sikkim is known for Losoong and Saga Dawa.
