  • It is recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world's largest film studio complex.

It has ready-made film sets of streets, railway stations, airports, palaces, temples, hospitals, gardens and villages, as well as studios and post-production facilities. A film can be made here from start to finish.

Many films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and other languages have been shot here, including parts of "Baahubali".

It is also a popular tourist destination, with theme parks, live shows, rides and hotels.

Other film studios and institutions in India:

  • Film City (Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari): Goregaon, Mumbai (1977).

  • ✗Kolkata has the Tollygunge studios.
