  • It stands on Sadhu Bet island on the Narmada river, near the Sardar Sarovar Dam, at Kevadia (now called Ekta Nagar) in Narmada district, Gujarat.
  • The number 182 was chosen to match the number of seats in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.
  • It was built by the engineering company Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
  • It was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2018, the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel ("Rashtriya Ekta Diwas").
