Key facts about the Rovers Cup:
It was started in 1891, making it the second-oldest football tournament in India, after the Durand Cup (1888).

Famous clubs that won the Rovers Cup include Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammedan Sporting, Mahindra and Mahindra (Mahindra United), Dempo and the Hyderabad City Police.
Matches were played at the Cooperage Ground in Mumbai.
