Statement & Arguments Questions with Solutions
Statement and arguments is a logical deduction question type. You are given a statement, usually a question about a policy or decision such as "Should mobile phones be banned in schools?", followed by arguments for and against it. You must decide which arguments are strong and which are weak. A strong argument is directly related to the question, important, and backed by sound reasoning or established facts. A weak argument is irrelevant, trivial, based on assumptions or emotions, too extreme, or simply a restatement of the question. Arguments that make sweeping claims, such as "this will solve all problems", or that use ambiguous or superlative language are usually weak. Both a "yes" and a "no" argument can be strong at the same time, so judge each one separately. Practise the statement and arguments questions below. Each solution explains why each argument is strong or weak.
